Prevention magazine selected EndoPAT among top medical breakthroughs

EndoScore

When it comes to optimal heart care, the earliest detection of underlying problems is critical. Assessing the current health of your endothelium with an EndoPAT test is a quick and easy way to gauge your chances of developing heart disease. Better yet, it improves heart risk predictions with much more certainty.

The 15-minute non-invasive EndoPAT test performed in the doctor’s office uses tiny bio-sensors on the fingertips to analyze pulse waves before and after temporarily stopping blood flow through the brachial artery of the arm.

The final EndoScore provides the doctor with a very realistic assessment of the health of the endothelium and the risk for heart damage.

Here is what the EndoScores mean:

How The EndoPAT Test Works

Red Level EndoScore: A score of 1.67 and lower indicates the need for immediate medical assessment.

Yellow Level EndoScore: A score between 1.68 and 2 indicates that you may not to appear to have additional health risks. Your endothelium is currently fine, but if you don’t take appropriate preventive steps, you may begin moving towards the Red Level and endothelial dysfunction.

Make all efforts to reduce blood cholesterol levels, stop smoking if you do, reduce bodyweight if too heavy, maintain a healthy blood pressure, and manage stress in your life. Managing these risk factors with simple preventive measures will help youavoid or postpone heart disease.

Green Level EndoScore: A score above 2.1 indicates that the endothelium is offering maximum protection and maintaining a healthy heart. Keep up the good work!
