Endo-PAT2000 adds an important dimension to cardiovascular medicine by enabling physicians to reliably, easily and non-invasively measure endothelial function.
Endo-PAT2000 utilizes Itamar Medical's PAT technology to non-invasively measure changes in the PAT signal in response to a five-minute occlusion of the brachial artery. This arterial provocation elicits an endothelial-dependent vasodilatation which causes an increase of the PAT signal.

The PAT signal, recorded from the distal phalanx of a finger by the pneumatic finger probes, is analyzed automatically using proprietary advanced Digital Signal Processing algorithms. The data is presented in a comprehensive report which is available within seconds of completing the test.
