In the quest for improved CVD prevention, Endothelial Function assessment has been proven to have unique clinical relevance. This is based on the following knowledge:
- It is the earliest clinically detectable stage of CVD
- Endothelial Dysfunction is a strong predictor of CV outcome
- Reversing Endothelial Dysfunction significantly improves CV outcome
At the upcoming ACC Annual Scientific Sessions, Dr. Rubinshtein of the Mayo Clinic presented the incremental value of Endothelial Function to Framingham Risk Score (session details below). The joint study by investigators from Mayo Clinic and Tufts Medical Center, on 270 individuals, followed up for almost 6 years, used the Endo-PAT2000 device to assess Endothelial Function.Endo-PAT2000 is the only FDA-cleared device indicated for assessment of Endothelial Function.
Itamar Medical wishes to invite you to discuss how you can incorporate this noninvasive, easy-to-use device into your clinic’s workflow.
During the sessions there were 4 other presentations of studies with the Endo-PAT – details below.
