Clinical Care Consultant (Dental Division) - USA
POSITION TITLE: Clinical Care Consultant (Dental Division) REPORTS TO: Vice President Itamar POSITION OBJECTIVES: Contributes to the achievement of sales objectives by providing superior clinical support to our customer base and responding appropriately to customer inquiries and complaints. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Builds working relationships with customers to achieve greater awareness and understanding of product features and capabilities
- Trains and educates customers concerning the technical operations, clinical applications, and appropriate use of the itamar product
- Identifies new sales opportunities through communication with new and existing customers, and other resources
- Using discretion and knowledge of regulatory requirements, responds to customer (both dealer and end user) inquiries or complaints regarding product’s appropriate use, expected performance, and/or assembly.
- Coordinates problem resolution with other departments and determines best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies
- Ensures clinical awareness of product features and benefits by working with marketing services staff to coordinate direct mail and advertising campaigns.
- Provides answers to product questions by utilizing clinical knowledge of appropriate application, product features, and benefits
- Initiates and maintains relationships with members of sleep industry such as sleep labs, sleep physicians, and professional sleep organizations
- Special projects as assigned
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: - Responds to inquiries concerning specialized applications of Itamar product
- Identifies customer preferences and initiates the development of new products or product modifications to meet those needs
- Prepares and provides reports to management
- Maintains competitive intelligence on similar products
- Attends industry related trade shows and appropriate merchandising association meetings
QUALITY SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITY: Through a personal commitment to our customers, the quality system and regulatory requirements: - Provides superior service to internal and external customers, ensuring that customer needs are identified and met
- Follows procedures and practices outlined in the quality system
- Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective and preventative actions
QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred background includes graduation from a program at the post secondary level with designation as a Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistant, Registered Respiratory Therapist, a Certified Respiratory Therapist, or a Registered Nurse. Work background should include at least three years previous experience in a clinical dental setting. In addition, three to five years sales experience is preferred. Proven written and verbal communications skills are required as well as the ability to introduce product features utilizing various delivery methods. Candidate must possess the ability to influence others through persuasion. Basic computer skills are required with familiarity of various business software packages as well as the ability to conduct research on the Internet. Must be able to juggle various projects and meet multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment. SUPERVISION: Reports to the Vice President of Company CLASSIFICATION: Exempt. MENTAL/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Mental demands require creativity, a tolerance for ambiguity and a strong sense of self to respond appropriately to customer demands. Physical demands include the ability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds, and color discrimination. EQUIPMENT: Must be able to use communications, computer, and various types of office equipment.
