Duties and responsibilities:
- Define algorithm pipeline infrastructure to process large volumes of data efficiently
- Design and implement batch processing systems on cloud services on AWS
- Containerize and deploy algorithms into production environments in Python based systems
- Create and deploy benchmarking tools for algorithms operating on physiologic timeseries data
- Create APIs for access to data and results
- Create research software infrastructure for clinical studies and evaluations
- Create web-based interfaces, visualization, and decision-making tools to interact with data on a granular level
- Advise on developing and incorporating new software technologies into company products
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
- Demonstrated experience to independently solve problems in data engineering and software engineering
- Experience operating in a small team working with Python based data pipelining or distributed systems or big data infrastructure (start-up or research team)
- Demonstrated experience interacting with APIs to push and pull required data for analysis
- Fluent in Python and Version Control
- Experience in cloud services like Aws, Azure or GCP
- Experience in deployment of distributed system pipelines
