Daniel Goor M.D.- Chairman. Prof. Goor received his MD degree from the Jerusalem University in 1962. 1963-1965 training in cardiology in Israel. General and cardiothoracic surgery training at the University of Minnesota and the New York Hospital Cornell Medical College, 1965-1972. Head of Cardiac Surgery at the Sheba Medical center, University of Tel Aviv, Israel 1976-1996. Head of Cardiac Surgery at Ramat Marpe Clinic 1990-2001. Associate Professor in 1974, Professor of Surgery in 1986, and Head of the Pionkowsky Chair of Cardiac Surgery at the Tel Aviv University until retirement. President of the Israel Association of Thoracic and CV Surgery 1985-1992. Inventor of the PAT and a founder (co-founder) of Itamar Medical company. Co-author of two books, Congenital Malformations of the Heart (Grune & Stratton 1975), and Management of Bleeding after Open-Heart Surgery (Landes Bioscience and Springer 1997), and author of “The Genius of C. Walton Lillehei and the true history of Open Heart Surgery ” ,Vantage Press Inc. 2007 as well as 120 medical scientific papers.
